Back from Holiday "Escape"
|
Hello everybody, Im back at Sg! hahaha, I know this may come as a shock for some people as I mentioned that I would be coming back at a later date Pardon me, I am quite a blur sotong at times :p
And Ive taken a liking towards veli early morning flights :-) Its almost like pulling an all nighter 通宵, you know.
Nonetheless, my holiday escape to Korea and Shanghai was fulfilling and very much enjoyable Much thanks and gratitude for the tags, wishes and prayers :-)
Id seen, ate, slept, admired, experienced, shopped, photographed and learnt many subjects at the expanse of time. Both places have their respective differences but I appreciate them all the same.
Korea was indeed impressive with their environment friendly approaches, outspokenness and warmth from the locals, as well as the good looking and well-dressed ladies ;-) Shanghai, on the other hand, made me broadened my horizons with their rich history and study of antiquity. Nice.
The best part of visiting China is that many things (eg. 上有天堂,下有苏杭, etc) that Id learnt at 胡老师s HCL class came alive there, woah.
If Opportunity and Time prevail in years to come, yours truly would like to travel with (y) individuals during the season of Spring to indulge in shopping and phototaking, wahaha
No Sauna, absolutely no more Korean women who are extremely comfortable without cloth on their bodies and no more decking into swimming costume to soak in pools. It was nightmare @ Korea. But I liked the dead skin eating fish
I dont intend to give a full reenactment of my trip, but photographs will be littered (in no chronological order :p)
Interestingly, Teenagers @ Korea seems to sport a similar hairstyle Bangs above their brows:
School regulations? But they carry it off well! 美吧!
Hahaha, pls dont comment that Im a stalker
Korean cats look distinctly different from the ones in Singapore Their eyes are close together and they are much more fearful of Humans. But cute all the same The cutest thing is that they travel in families
Despite abhorring the weather and climate at both places in the beginning, Ive grown to love it :-)
The most in-my-face symptom (pun unintended) to check that Im back in Sg was probably the sudden outbreak of pimples on my face Ah, well.
Being a sian person who rarely bothers to go to amusement parks and the likes, I liked the 2 that we went to in Korea. Especially the very entertaining station master @ the Viking Ride in Lotte World, coupled with suave actions for the funny introduction. The ride was sugoii extremely thrilling and scary -_-
The peak of the ride made the entire ship tilt to a near vertical position, aaaaa.
Man, Korea has really nice clothes but unfortunately they dont come with a nice price tag. There are good bargains though, hehehe. Dongdaemun is a shopping haven; think of it as an indoor Bugis Village (AH BEE, I THOUGHT OF YOU AT THAT POINT OF TIME!!!)
I think my Tolerance Level up another layer during this trip. As I was traveling with my aunts family, conflicting habits and ideological differences (hahaha) were inevitable. Many times I nearly killed my couz (mostly the younger one) and wore a paper bag over my head. K kidding.
But you have to agree that I have the weirdest cousins @__@
Surprisingly at the end of the trip, I preferred the meals in Korea to the ones in Shanghai. On the contrary, it was no wonder as Im not a person who indulge in 大鱼大肉 Simple meals with light input of flavoring like Korean meals work best for me
Shanghai is kool becos of the bustling nightlife I reckon that it has the busiest road activity on Earth. Traffic jams were rampant and their flyovers are really flyovers, all over the place! But the many activities at the side of the road and the special lane put aside for 2 wheeled vehicles intrigues me a lot, especially so when I sat at the window seat all the time :p
I like Shanghai for its affordable shopping After the trip to a wholesale shopping center there, I decided to become 假道学 and bought a pair of spectacles with no degree attached, whoo!
Soooo, my holiday escape had ended and Im back in Sg :o) Obviously theres no escape from the invisible stress, and my to-do list is still elongating itself. However, I am thankful for His protection during the trip as the buses that my tour group took in the 2 places met with minor accidents along the way. Unlucky or not, it was quite tickling actually -_-
Till then, I will be guest blogging at Lizzies while she is away @ CI course :-)
