Unceasing praises in a taxi
|
A few months ago, a taxi uncle was sharing about God's goodness and faithfulness in his life.
His son was a really successful man - in his 30's and doing very well in the corporate world with a lovely wife and children. His heart for the Middle East grew as he traveled frequently to Dubai for business trips. Then the Lord called him to be a missionary there and he gladly obeyed, leaving behind his successful career without hesitation!
The uncle continued to share that his son had no qualms in giving up his career because he believed that every single blessing that he has received in his life is from God and that his life belongs to Him.
I was so encouraged and inspired by his son's obedience and love for God! I felt it was so amazing because it seems God has been preparing his son for his calling even before he knew it by leading him to Dubai for business trips to 'walk the grounds'. It is so amazing how He has provided for all his needs and has been watching over the transition for his family too :-)
Towards the end of the trip, the uncle shared about his personal journey. He was led to Christ by his son 6 years ago. (At this point in time, I was like "WAH!!!" hahaha) The punchline of the trip gonna be when he affirmed the reality of God and the transformation in his life after he followed Jesus. ("There's really a difference," said the uncle.)
I praise God for such a divine encounter :-) The whole conversation started because he overheard my conversation with XH about attending GO4th. I feel that it is such a privilege to be serving alongside such amazing people :-) It's such an encouragement to know that fellow Christians out there are going all out to live large for Jesus.
We can indeed sing about God's love forever and ever... May His name continue to be blessed!
